Established in 1959, CW Crates & Pallets has grown from a local wood packaging shop into a leading provider of custom crating, pallet, and shipping solutions across the Inland Northwest. As a family-owned business, CW is rooted in a tradition of craftsmanship, integrity, and customer-first service.
Today, the company continues to evolve—offering tailored solutions for industries ranging from aerospace and electronics to medical equipment and heavy machinery. Whether it’s a single custom crate or a multi-thousand-unit pallet order, CW delivers with precision and care.
Meet The Team
Frank Duffy
President / Owner
As President of CW, Frank focuses on improving operational efficiency, identifying new market opportunities, and developing his management team so the staff can thrive.
He earned a degree in International Business from Washington State University and studied abroad at the University of Copenhagen. His career included roles at IBM, Oracle, and Exodus before he took a risk on a small investment management firm—growing its sales by 700% before it sold at the market’s peak. That success enabled him to acquire CW Crates & Pallets in 2012.
Frank enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending weekends with family on Lake Pend Oreille.
Heidi Duffy
VP / Owner
Heidi holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Washington and a Master’s in School Counseling from Gonzaga University.
She also volunteers as a CASA advocate, supporting children in family court. In her free time, Heidi enjoys yoga, Pilates, hiking, skiing, movies, and traveling.
Travis Miller
General Manager & CFO
Travis brings 15+ years of finance and executive management experience. He began his career in Nevada as a property accountant and quickly rose to become Assistant Casino Controller at the Luxor and Excalibur casinos.
In 2012, he joined MGM Ho Tram’s pre-opening team in Vietnam, where he managed finance, regulatory compliance, and operational controls. He later served as Executive Director of Savan Vegas Hotel & Casino in Laos, leading a government-initiated takeover and eventual sale to Macau Legend. Retained as Property President, he oversaw 2,000+ employees, 12 departments, and over $20M in capital projects. After eight years abroad, he returned to the U.S. to be closer to family.
Wendy Hatch
Controller
Wendy has extensive experience in full-charge bookkeeping and a strong understanding of business operations, including owning her own ceramic and craft studio. Her deep knowledge and nurturing leadership have supported the team through challenging seasons. She loves spending time at the beach—whether lakeside, riverside, or oceanside.
